May 3rd, 2015

Who wouldn’t love a Veggie Wheel Plate at your next gathering?!  You don’t need those fancy schmancy veggie bowls with the separate compartments for your vegetables, just make your own.  I used different colored carrots to separate the vegetables.  It was easy and beautiful.

Halloween Dracula Dentures – FANTASTIC!!!!

May 3rd, 2015

draculadentures

This is by far one of the most popular Halloween treats. If you are on Pinterest, you know exactly what I’m talking about. These are wonderful because they are SUPER easy and need little skill. And this is why I love them. All you need are soft cookies, red icing, mini-marshmallows and almond pieces.

Ingredients

  • 12 soft cookies (any flavor)
  • 1 container red icing (you can use chocolate as well)
  • 36 mini-marshmallows
  • 12 Almond pieces for fangs

Preparation

If you will make your own cookies, make sure you bake them so they are still soft and moist. If you will buy cookies from the store, just purchase the “soft baked” ones, not the crunchy versions. You can use any cookie flavor… it tastes great no matter which one you use. You can also use chocolate frosting, if you don’t want the red gums. Just break or cut the cookie in half. Spread the red icing on each cookie. Place the marshmallows on the bottom cookie half and sandwich the other half on top. Then, just stick the almond pieces to create the fangs and you are all set! Trust me, it will be a HIT at your next Halloween party!

HALLOWEEN MADE EASY: Pumpkin Brownie Pops

May 2nd, 2015

pumpkinbrownies

If you love to craft, more than you love to bake, this little project is perfect for you!!  Everything always tastes better on a stick and that goes double during Halloween!! These ready-made brownies from Little Debbie’s look great, are delicious, and super easy to work with. Oh, and did I mention that you don’t have to do any baking… BONUS!

If you need to assemble something quick, or you just want to create an adorable dessert without having to bake anything, you will love how fast and easy these Halloween brownies can be skewered and arranged.

Supplies You Will Need:

  1. Halloween Colored Straws (I purchased mine at Party City)
  2. Orange napkins
  3. Pretty ribbon
  4. Little Debbie’s Halloween pumpkin brownies
  5. Skewers
  6. Pretty container
  7. Dry floral foam

All I did was purchase the brownies at my local supermarket.  This is a seasonal item from Little Debbie’s and you can purchase them during October.  First, I simply skewered the brownie.  Second, I tied a bow around the straw with the ribbon and slipped the straw over the skewer.  I did the same thing to the rest of the pumpkin brownies.

I placed dry floral foam inside my container and started sticking the finished brownie pops inside the foam.  Last but not least, I added the orange napkins to finish off the look.

It literally took me five minutes to make the above arrangement so this is a great last-minute project for a Halloween party or dessert buffet!

How Do I start off #31DaysOfHalloween?!  With these super easy Spider Egg Meatballs!  They are simple to make and wonderful for parties or even a quick snack!  This recipe was adapted from Pillsbury and I prefer using their rolls  because they are nice and fluffy.  Enjoy!!

Ingredients

1 can (10.2 oz) Pillsbury™ Grands!™ refrigerated buttermilk biscuits

1/3 cup shredded Monterey Jack or Cheddar cheese

10 refrigerated or frozen cooked beef meatballs, thawed

1/4 cup LAND O LAKES® Butter, melted

2/3 cup finely crushed seasoned croutons

1 1/2 cups of pasta sauce, heated

Line cookie sheet with parchment paper, or spray with CRISCO® Original No-Stick Cooking Spray. Separate dough into 5 biscuits. Split each biscuit to make 10 rounds. Press out each biscuit half to form 3-inch round.
Sprinkle each biscuit round with cheese to within 1/2 inch of edge. Top each with meatball. Bring up sides of dough over meatball; pinch edges to seal. Brush rounded tops and sides of dough with butter; coat with croutons. Place, seam side down, on cookie sheet. Bake 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.

Place appetizer pick in each biscuit-wrapped meatball to form meatball pop. Serve with warm pasta sauce for dipping.
